SHOW RULES The following rules apply to all shows advertised in this catalog. 1. All shows will be governed by the OFFICIAL SHOW RULES of the ARBA and filing of an entry denotes acceptance of same. 2. Each entry must have a legible, permanent marking or cavy tag in left ear. 3. Sponsoring club reserve the right to substitute or add judges as needed. 4. Exhibitors will be responsible to get their animals to and from the judging tables. Any animals not on the table after the second call will be scratched, entry fees will not be refunded. 5. We are asking that all youth exhibitors bring their animals to the youth table for judging. Adults will not be allowed to bring animals entered in the youth shows to the judging table. 6. Youth may not enter their rabbit or cavy in both open and youth classes at the same show. Youth may make entries in both open and youth classes with different animals. 7. Substitutions will be allowed only in the same class, sex, variety, group and breed per ARBA rules. These changes can be made at the show table provided the change is made clearly on the judges remark card prior to the start of judging of the class. 8. No breeding of rabbits or cavies will be permitted in the show room. 9. NO ANIMALS (other than rabbits and cavies) will be allowed in the building except for guide and aide dogs per the American Disabilities Act. 10. NO SMOKING and NO ALCOHOL will be allowed in the building - without exception. Smoking is allowed outside and should be at least 25 feet from any door / entry or exit. 11. Sponsoring club will not be responsible for injury, theft or demise of any animal. Please keep you cages secured. 12. Parents or acting guardians will be responsible for the conduct of their children. Inappropriate behavior, disrespect of animals, property or persons will result in dismissal from this show and forfeiture of all entry fees. Appropriate show locations are hard to find, please keep in mind that we may not be asked back if we do not practice good citizenship or good housekeeping skills. 13. No person, other than show officials, judges and clerks will be allowed behind the judging tables during judging. If you have a question or request please contact the show superintendent. 14. This is a carrying cage show and all carriers for rabbits and cavies must have solid bottoms and viable latches. The show committee requests that all carriers be placed on plastic floor covering. 15. Entries are to be postmarked and prepaid no later than February 5, 2009. NO day of show entries will be taken with the exception of some specialty clubs. Please call the appropriate secretary if you have any questions. 16. Any emergency or problem not covered by these rules will be referred to the show superintendents and their decision will be final. 17. VENDORS - By invitation or prior authorization only from the show committee. Unauthorized vendors will be asked to leave. This is in consideration to those that have paid a vendor fee or have otherwise committed in advance to be supportive of our show. |
